Every parent of a pupil currently attending the school is automatically a member of the Parents Association.
Each year we are fortunate to have a number of parents who form a representative committee to give their time and expertise supporting the school in a variety of ways. Our present chairs are Sam Jenner and Katy Smith. If you want to take an active role then please see the school office or the PA Chairs - we welcome your contribution.
A whole range of events and activities are planned that not only provides additional funds for the school but plays a vital role in strengthening the links between the home, the school and the wider community. Some of the events planned for this year include:
Forthcoming events include:
- Our monthly cake sales (under the ‘ladybird’!). Donations are very welcome and can be taken in to the school office by 3pm on the day of the sale.
- Cinema nights
- Fancy dress disco
- Christmas Bazaar
- Crazy hair day
- Easter egg raffle
- Sponsored school marathon
- Summer Duck Races
Your Parents Association raised over £8,000 last year and supported the school with a number of projects, including the purchase of classroom resources and the replacement of old laptops with new notebooks to enable whole class learning.
During 2015/16, the PA are hoping to continue to develop the school’s computing resources through purchasing another set of learnpads to facilitate whole class learning, provide classroom resources, purchase outdoor learning materials to further learning in the Reception play area, provide listening centres for KS1 classes to support reading for pleasure and provide new playground equipment for everyone to enjoy at break/lunchtimes.
